Electronics For All Your Needs

Small Kitchen Appliances

Small Kitchen Appliances

When I started writing this I wondered where and how all these appliances came to be. So I started researching mostly the kitchen and hand held small appliances and I learned a lot, so I hope you do to.

In this fast paced world we live in today, how could we live without all of our small kitchen appliances? We use them all the time and most times, at the same time! The TV is going, while dinner is in the oven or the toaster oven or the microwave. See where I’m going here? I know I’m not the only person that does this. I like to call these “electronic goodies” because let’s face it, anything that makes our lives easier, makes us all happy.

Small appliances are typically small household electrical machines than can be carried around so you can move them where needed. When you’re done hide them back where they were. I use my mixer all the time but that doesn’t mean I want it sitting out on the counter top all day.

I personally like the retro styles coming back around and the modern small appliances are updated and oh, so cute! The Smeg is a new product from a Italian manufacturer and they have some really nice new small appliances that are portable in your kitchen.

You will also find the Phillips Airfryer further down, along with a video for you to watch. It will give you a better idea to decide if you would like to give it as a gift or keep it for yourself. I find this great for cheating on my diet because I love french fries! Fried foods are definitely my downfall and I want them all the time so this would be my healthier version.

Now here’s a gift you might want to give yourself! It fries, bakes and roasts using little or no oil. The Airfryer out cooked a convection oven, turning out crispy sweet potatoes and and nicely browned fries (my favorite). The manual suggests halving cooking times and reducing oven temperatures for packaged foods, so you will need to experiment with the electronic controls.

Using the digital touch screen interface you can adjust the temperature up to 390 degrees and set the timer up to 60 minutes. The Airfryer’s parts are dishwasher-safe for easy cleaning, and the included recipe booklet features more than 25 recipes created exclusively for the Philips Airfryer.

There’s no question about it: eating healthy 100% of the time can seem near impossible especially if you’re not used to eating healthy on a regular basis. Most of us were raised on fast foods and a lot of people still are. Here are some suggestions on eating heathly and balanced.

Iron for All Ironing Needs

I don’t want to give away my age but if you ever had to iron with a old fashioned iron, you will really appreciate the newer irons for sure!

So where did the hand irons come from? Well, in 1903 Earl Richardson introduced a lightweight electric iron. After complaints from customers, Richardson tweaked out some problems and came up with a iron that made pressing around buttonholes and ruffles easier.

Now the iron has steam output and a nonstick plate is more durable. This new iron gives off more steam for better wrinkle removal and glide performance. We all want this chore to go super fast!
